OWA Arts & Crafts Festival Got Rescheduled — Here’s the New Weekend (and How to Actually Enjoy It)
If you had plans to hit OWA’s Arts & Crafts Festival and then saw it got postponed… you’re not imagining things. The festival was moved due to weather, and the good news is: it’s still happening — just on a new weekend.
Here’s the updated info (and a few tips so you don’t show up at the wrong time, in the wrong shoes, with the wrong expectations… ask me how I know).
The new dates + times
OWA’s 6th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival is now scheduled for:
-
Friday, February 20, 2026: 2:00–8:00 PM
-
Saturday, February 21, 2026: 10:00 AM–8:00 PM
-
Sunday, February 22, 2026: 11:00 AM–4:00 PM
-
Where: Downtown OWA (Foley)
-
Cost: Free to attend
What to expect (so it’s worth the drive)
OWA’s festival setup is typically a mix of local artists, handmade goods, small businesses, live music, and a kid play zone spread throughout Downtown OWA.
Translation: it’s a solid “wander and snack” kind of weekend — the kind where you can grab a coffee, browse booths, and leave with something you didn’t know you needed (but now can’t live without).
My “enjoy this like a local” tips
Go Friday if you hate crowds.
Friday afternoon/evening usually feels more relaxed than Saturday peak hours.
Bring a tote + a plan for your hands.
If you’re buying art, candles, ceramics, etc., you’ll be glad you came prepared.
If you’re bringing your dog:
OWA is generally a walkable spot, but pet rules can vary by event/vendor area — keep your pup leashed and double-check venue/event guidance before you go.
Make it a full outing.
Downtown OWA is easy to pair with dinner, dessert, or just a stroll. It’s one of those Gulf Coast “we’re outside because we can be” weekends.
Why this matters (beyond the fun)
Local events like this are part of what makes Baldwin County feel like Baldwin County. If you’re newer to the area (or thinking about moving here), your weekends tell you a lot about a place — not just the houses.
If you want a list of other easy, low-stress “get to know the Gulf Coast” weekends, tell me what you’re into (art, boats, hiking, food, dog-friendly everything) and I’ll point you the right way.
